How Autumn affects your skin

How Autumn affects your skin

Changing seasons affect what we wear, how we feel, and how we look. As temperatures, weather and hours of daylight change, so does our skin.

You may lose your even summer glow

With reduced time outdoors and lower UV levels, you will likely lose your summer tan. This may reveal uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation. Remember to keep wearing UV throughout the year though!

Dryness and dehydration

Central heating, long hot showers and lower humidity levels outside can strip your skin of its moisture, leaving it feeling tight, rough, and flaky. This in turn can trigger breakouts.

Flare-ups of skin conditions

Acne, breakouts, eczema and other skin conditions can flare up during changing seasons as our bodies adapt to temperature differences and drier air. If you don’t hydrate your skin, it will produce more oil to cope which will make the problem worse.
